The fly featured this month is the "White Moth".
Fishing during October 2003 has been very good with some healthy fish caught. A 2 kg Brown Trout was caught by an angler having tuition. Several other brown trout and some nice size rainbows have also been caught making fishing very interesting. We have been enjoying spring weather with 133 mm rain recorded for October. Nights have still been cool.
Woolly Buggers (Black and Brown) have had the most success, although dry flies including White Moth, Red Tag and Royal Wolf have also worked well.
