The fly featured this month is the "Woolly Bugger".
The weather was very hot during February 2004 with the fish retreating to the deepest parts of the lake. There were a few trout caught on Woolly Buggers. The heat wave conditions have gone and it has been quite cool at night - temperatures down to 6 degrees celsius. The cooler weather has encouraged more activity on top of the water with the fish feeding on insects during the late afternoon and early morning.
