Chilly winter conditions were the order of the day during August with only 25mm rain recorded. With the colder weather many larger fish were caught. Trout ranging in size from 750 gms to 3.6 kg were caught mainly on a Mrs. Simpson and Woolly Buggers. There was some insect activity just below the surface late in the afternoon.
